Job Description
As a Treasury Controller, your role involves managing the cash and banking operations for 19 entities with around 60 bank accounts to ensure optimal utilization of funds. You will be responsible for various key tasks including:
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments for all purchase order and non-PO expenses such as vendor invoices, utilities, rent, doctors payouts, and other operational payments.
- Preparing and updating daily cash flow projections, monitoring opening/closing balances, and highlighting any funding gaps in advance.
- Tracking and controlling daily and monthly cash outflows in line with the approved treasury cash flow budget.
- Planning and executing inter-company fund movements to ensure optimum cash flow management and minimal idle balances.
- Deploying surplus liquidity through term deposits, loan pre-payments, or remittances to the parent company as per approved treasury strategy.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with banks, and driving automation in payment processes for vendor and other payouts.
- Overseeing issuance, renewal, and closure of bank guarantees and letters of credit, coordinating with internal stakeholders, banks, and suppliers for related documentation.
- Ensuring timely repayment of loans and interest as per sanction terms, and maintaining a clear repayment calendar.
- Reviewing and verifying interest expenses on loans and interest income on fixed/term deposits, coordinating with accounts to ensure correct accounting treatment.
- Reviewing and approving daily payment runs and high-value cash outflows in line with approval matrices and internal controls.
- Maintaining an updated register of cheques issued and post-dated cheques (PDCs), tracking due dates and clearance status.
- Ensuring all bank reconciliations are completed accurately and within defined timelines, resolving open items in coordination with finance and AP teams.
- Liaising with the Accounts Payable outsourcing partner for smooth invoice processing, payment runs, and query resolution.
- Preparing monthly consolidated cash flow reports and analysis for all entities, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- For CA candidates: 3-4 years of experience
- For Non-CA candidates: 8-10 years of experience
