Test Lead

Role Overview: As a Test Automation Lead for banking applications, you will be responsible for leading QA activities, driving automation strategy, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Your technical expertise in test automation, agile methodologies, and end-to-end quality engineering will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities across functional, integration, regression, and automation testing. - Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to define test strategy, test coverage, and acceptance criteria. - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and mobile apps. - Perform mobile testing (iOS & Android) covering functional, UI/UX, compatibility, and regression scenarios. - Ensure high-quality delivery of core retail banking modules such as onboarding, KYC, account opening, payments, deposits, and loans. - Drive continuous improvement in test processes and automation effectiveness. - Mentor and guide QA team members while coordinating with cross-functional teams. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. - Manage test environments, test data, and end-to-end defect lifecycle. - Ensure compliance with banking standards related to security, regulatory needs, and quality frameworks. Qualifications Required: - Possess strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and demonstrate expertise in test planning, test case design, and defect management. - Bring extensive hands-on experience in automation using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber/BDD, and Postman/RestAssured. - Have the ability to design, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks, while integrating them with CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins. - Demonstrate solid domain expertise in Retail/Digital Banking with practical experience across onboarding, KYC, core banking systems, payments, deposits, and loan modules. - Exhibit strong programming and scripting capabilities in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation development. - Show proficiency in API testing and validation using REST/SOAP services and apply SQL skills for backend and data verification. - Display excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to lead and mentor QA teams.
