Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Java Developer at Standard Chartered in Chennai, India, you will play a key role in re-engineering legacy applications and building a state-of-the-art platform to align with the bank's NextGen technology vision. You will consistently lead the delivery of valuable features, look for process improvements, and propose new ways of fulfilling requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and optimizing code, automating processes, overseeing assigned programs, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability. You will also focus on infrastructure, security, collaboration, and follow the SDF process as per SCB standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and apply appropriate design patterns, develop large features, and write clean, maintainable code
- Automate everything by default, build a CD pipeline, and monitor systems for user needs and business goals
- Have a good grasp of multiple operating systems, scripting techniques, databases, and data storage paradigms
- Write secure code by default, perform security probes, and understand server hardening and security principles
- Lead group discussions on design, mentor team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and follow regulatory and business conduct standards
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent
