Job Description
As a Senior Application Engineer, your role will involve in-depth interfacing with customers and prospects within a given set of accounts. Your technical diligence will be crucial in effectively positioning a Multiphysics Portfolio across various disciplines such as Structural Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Optics, ElectroMagnetics, Systems Engineering, Data Management, AI/ML. While focusing on one of these areas, you should also have a broad understanding to identify technology opportunities across all relevant disciplines and drive them with the respective customer accounts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing a long-term and sustainable relationship with assigned accounts by aligning simulation technology solutions with client's key business initiatives (KBIs)
- Partnering with Sales Account Manager (SAM) to develop account plans and growth strategies in line with customer's KBIs
- Planning and leading strategic long-term and short-term technical activities with the larger CADFEM teams to achieve overall sales goals
- Identifying areas of opportunity to displace competition, add products, add users, and expand adoption within the account
- Leading account-based strategies to drive technology proliferation campaigns including adoption and deployment
- Reviewing technical support activities and ensuring follow-up and coaching for technical staff to meet quality goals
- Developing trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
Qualifications required:
- Master's in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in leveraging physics-based simulations
- Ability to understand, represent, and effectively communicate all technical activities associated with the accounts across all physics and product lines
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency
- Passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time
