Technical Lead - Java Technologies

As a Technical Lead at our client's Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in architecting and building complex, reliable, high-throughput application operations. Your responsibilities will include mentoring a team of software engineers, setting technical standards, enforcing best practices, and contributing to the design and implementation of new product features. Your hands-on involvement with code will be pivotal to the success of the team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Scrum team in breaking down Epics into Stories and Stories into Developer Tasks. - Design and implement complex functionality, automation, and data persistence tasks. - Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Validate and test code changes in QA environments for quality and reliability. - Collaborate with Support teams to resolve customer escalations and troubleshoot performance issues. - Work closely with Product Managers to translate requirements into scalable solutions. - Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate and deliver new features. - Ensure adherence to architectural standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices. - Take full ownership of delivering high-quality solutions within agreed timelines. - Identify opportunities to improve team processes, performance, and delivery outcomes. Mandatory Skills: - 8+ years of experience in a SaaS or product-based software company. - Strong object-oriented programming experience, particularly in Java. - 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role. - Experience with TypeScript frameworks. - Proficiency in testing tools such as JUnit, Cypress, etc. - Ability to break down complex business problems into multi-component solutions. - Proven experience in environments with customer-visible use cases. - Strong leadership and mentorship skills. - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English). - Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple time zones. Education & Qualifications: - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or a related field. - 6+ years of experience in Product companies preferred.
