Tech Lead SDLC

Role Overview: You will be joining Internal Products and Platforms (IP&P) team to lead the transformation of Bupas internal technology infrastructure. With a team of over 400 people and a budget exceeding 100 million, you will be working on transitioning from data centers and legacy cloud infrastructure to modern hyperscale cloud platforms and SDWAN & SASE networks, consolidating identity tenants, and modernizing the digital workplace for connected care. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting high-quality solutions and infrastructure as part of the Secure Access Product team. Key Responsibilities: - Own the design and evolution of the end-to-end SDLC platform including source control, CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, IaC tooling, and Kubernetes/PaaS platforms. - Architect and maintain highly available, scalable CI/CD systems and provide standardized pipelines and self-service capabilities for development teams. - Embed security practices like SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and policy-as-code into the SDLC platform. - Lead incident response, monitor system performance, and implement optimizations for reliability and observability. - Mentor and guide DevOps/Platform engineers, work closely with cross-functional teams, and evaluate emerging technologies to improve delivery speed and quality. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or software engineering. - Deep understanding and experience with SDLC tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. - Expertise in embedding security and compliance into SDLC, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud platforms. - Strong background in reliability and operations, leading incident response, and driving root-cause remediation. - Experience providing technical leadership, influencing cross-team decisions, and collaborating with stakeholders. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
