Systems, Networks Engineer

Role Overview: As a Systems, Networks Engineer at Egis Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on network architecture and system administration. Your role will require a deep understanding of networking principles, system administration best practices, and a proactive approach to customer care and support. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN connections. - Ensure network reliability, performance, and security through the implementation of best practices and industry standards of Egis. - Monitor network traffic, analyze data, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and resource utilization. - Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patches and updates, to minimize downtime and mitigate security risks. - Administer and maintain the DBMS and Middleware tools, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. - Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions, to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access. - Participate in regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the network infrastructure. - Ensure backup (servers and network) and regularly test our backup solutions. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree (Engineer) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Fluency in French would be a bonus. - 10+ years of experience in IT systems and network engineering roles. - In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures. - Hands-on experience with network equipment and technologies from leading vendors. - Proficiency in system administration tasks, including server deployment, configuration management, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in DBMS and Middleware administration tasks. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. - Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL v4 certification would be a bonus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer support and service excellence.
