Role Overview:
The Strategy Group at JPMorgan Chase functions as an internal consulting team that focuses on defining the firm's strategic priorities. This involves working on various projects such as developing international growth strategies, assessing new product and market entry opportunities, conducting strategic business deep dives, making strategic investments, enhancing operational efficiency, setting technology and operations strategy, formulating acquisitions/divestitures strategy, and designing cross lines of business initiatives. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with project managers, support senior management in decision-making, and work on a diverse range of initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the group on projects identified by senior managers of JPMC
- Playing an active role in all aspects of the engagement
- Analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and executing creative analyses
- Providing insights to identify issues, developing recommendations, and communicating them effectively
- Sharing market intelligence summaries with the internal team and senior management
- Developing product, business, and industry knowledge to leverage for deliverables
Qualifications Required:
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry
- Strong research and analysis skills with the ability to synthesize and interpret data
- Ability to identify key insights and present results to management
- Excellent problem-solving skills, quantitative analytical approaches, and effective communication abilities
- Capacity to learn and understand new concepts and businesses quickly
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, prioritize effectively, and deliver against multiple objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
