SRE Engineer - AWS, DevOps

As an SRE at PayPay, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability and top-level performance to provide flawless and reliable service exceeding user expectations. Your role will involve analysing current technologies, developing monitoring tools, and advocating for modern technologies to enhance product value. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse current technologies and develop monitoring tools for improved observability - Develop solutions to enhance system performance focusing on high availability, scalability, and resilience - Implement industry best practices for system development, configuration management, and deployment - Stay updated on modern technologies and trends to advocate for their inclusion in products - Participate in incident management, troubleshoot production issues, drive root cause analysis, and share lessons learned Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in software development with strong fundamentals in Python, Java, Go, etc. - Experience troubleshooting high-performance microservices architectures in Kubernetes and AWS environments - Curious and proactive in identifying performance bottlenecks, scalability, and resilience issues - Knowledge of observability tools and data gathering - Proficiency in database technologies such as RDS, NoSQL, TiDB, etc. - Understanding of IaC, automation tools, and cloud infrastructure management - Background in SRE/DevOps concepts and implementation - Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, and reporting with Snowflake and Sigma - Expertise in web technologies like CloudFront, Nginx, etc. - Experience in disaster recovery strategies, multi-region architecture, and capacity planning - Language skills in Japanese and English are a plus - Ability to leverage AI/ML-based tools in daily workflows with human oversight Please note that this is a full-time position based in Gurugram (Wework).
