Sr Software Engineer Network Datapath/Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview: As a Sr Network/Security datapath/infrastructure Software Engineer at Versa Networks, you will play a crucial role in the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance forwarding software. You will work alongside a highly-experienced engineering team to develop packet and security service processing capabilities on new compute platforms. Your expertise will contribute to the success of Versa's end-to-end solutions, including software-defined branch for enterprise customers, secure SD-WAN and SASE for enterprises, and next-generation managed services for service providers. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop software for real-time network applications on a multi-core architecture. - Develop and maintain NextGen Packet Forwarding and security features for SDWAN/SASE/SSE platforms. - Collaborate with Development, System Test, PLM, and TAC teams. - Tackle challenging problems and propose new ideas for platform optimization. Qualifications Required: - Deep understanding of TCP/IP and advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies. - Expertise in general routing/switching, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and DataCenter Architectures. - Hands-on experience with packet processing pipelines. - Experience with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL is a plus. - Familiarity with Ethernet/QAT/LTE/Wifi/SRIOV/virtio/vmxnet3/OVS interfaces is a plus. - Prior exposure to DPDK and multicore systems is preferable. - Proficiency in performance benchmarking and analysis. - Strong development skills in C/C++. - Previous experience in troubleshooting critical customer issues promptly.
