Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Curitics, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing multi-tenant healthcare data applications using Laravel / PHP. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experts in data analytics, population health, and public health solutions across various sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee architecture, development, and maintenance of multi-tenant applications using Laravel / PHP - Design and deploy scalable serverless solutions using AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, API Gateway, SQS) - Collaborate closely with frontend teams (React.js) for seamless API integrations - Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases for performance and data integrity - Implement data security, encryption, and access control aligned with healthcare compliance (HIPAA preferred) - Enforce best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and reviews - Monitor and resolve issues using tools like Sentry and CloudWatch - Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, and Product teams - Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions Required Skills: Backend: - Expert in Laravel / PHP, REST APIs, multi-tenant architecture - Strong knowledge of Eloquent ORM, queues, and event-driven systems Frontend Exposure: - Working understanding of React.js, JavaScript / TypeScript AWS & Serverless: - Hands-on with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL / MSSQL), ECS / Fargate, CloudWatch - AWS Vapor experience preferred Databases: - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MSSQL schema design, indexing, and performance tuning Security & Compliance: - Experience with data encryption, tokenization, access control, and healthcare data governance Testing & Quality: - Unit and integration testing using Pest / PhpUnit - CI pipeline exposure Leadership: - Experience mentoring developers and working in agile environments Curitics empowers health systems and providers by enabling timely and appropriate outreach and engagement through clinically oriented workflows.
