Software Development Engineer in Test, Data Collection Technology

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Morningstar, you will play a crucial role in the engineering team by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software systems. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation. - Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages. - Hands-on experience with JUnit, API testing (REST, OpenAPI, GRPC), and tools like Swagger, Postman, or curl. - Practical experience with SQL. - Ability to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools. - Strong aptitude for learning new technologies. - Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. - Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
