Software Asset Management With OpenIT experience

As a Software Asset Management professional with OpenIT experience, your role will involve managing the end-to-end software license lifecycle for desktop applications. You will ensure compliance, cost optimization, and alignment with organizational policies by working closely with application support, procurement, vendors, and security teams. Your responsibilities will include: - Manage the complete lifecycle of desktop application licenses, including procurement, deployment, renewal, and retirement. - Ensure compliance with software license agreements, vendor contracts, and audit requirements. - Design, configure, and manage central license servers to enable real-time license checkouts and monitoring for floating licenses. - Conduct regular license usage analysis and reconciliation to identify under-utilization or non-compliance. - Coordinate with application packaging and desktop support teams to ensure correct deployment of licensed software. - Identify opportunities for license optimization, cost reduction, and rationalization. - Maintain accurate license data in asset management and ITSM tools. - Define and enforce license management processes, standards, and controls. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or IT Procurement. - Strong experience in software license management, License file Mapping, Option File Mapping for desktop applications. - Knowledge of major licensing models such as per-user, per-device, subscription, concurrent, SaaS. - Hands-on experience with SAM / ITAM tools like ServiceNow SAM, Snow, etc. - Understanding of Windows and macOS desktop environments. - Experience working with vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, VMware, etc. - Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
