Job Description
As a ServiceNow Solution Architect at Jensen Hughes, you will be responsible for taking full ownership of the ServiceNow platform and leading its evolution. Your role will involve combining strategic platform leadership with hands-on development expertise to deliver scalable and innovative solutions across ITSM, CSM, HAM, and SAM. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing design, development, testing, deployment, and release management of new capabilities and enhancements.
- Architecting and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business needs.
- Developing and maintaining custom applications, modules, and Service Portal components.
- Building and optimizing server-side scripts, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions.
- Creating Flow Designer flows, IntegrationHub spokes, and orchestration workflows.
- Integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Driving automation, workflows, and self-service improvements to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Championing continuous improvement and operational excellence within ServiceNow.
- Ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability.
- Managing upgrades, patching, releases, and platform maintenance.
- Maintaining compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing the quality and governance of the ServiceNow CMDB, Knowledge Base, and configuration data.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Ideally Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Application Developer (CAD).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with a strong background in ServiceNow development and platform ownership.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
- Exposure to AWS DevOps and cloud integrations preferred.
- Extensive hands-on development experience in ServiceNow, including JavaScript, Glide API, scripting best practices, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and orchestration.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer) preferred.
- Expertise in managing platform upgrades, release cycles, and operational governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with confidence in working with senior stakeholders and defining platform strategy.
