Job Description
As a Service Engineer at Elekta, your role involves conducting servicing in your designated area of responsibility. You will serve as a liaison and customer support representative for the local region, providing phone and email support, technical advice, and ECSC support to customers. Your responsibilities include solving basic technical issues independently and performing routine troubleshooting and repairs on the designated modality within the escalation procedure. You will also carry out Field Change Orders, Safety Checks/Modifications, and take ownership of service deliverables for the designated customer site. Additionally, conducting planned maintenance, calibrations, and closure of predictive & proactive cases on the designated modality and secondary modality are part of your duties. You will read, analyze, interpret, and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, instruct customers on equipment usage, and assist Sales/Customer Service with technical advice. Furthermore, you will manage parts inventory at assigned customer sites, maintain all company-leased equipment, and submit timely and accurate reports as assigned.
Your role requires incorporating Elekta Values into all department functions, adhering to all Elekta directives, policies, and procedures, and representing the organization professionally. You should uphold Elektas philosophy by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, you will assist seniors in equipment upgrade works when necessary.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose issues with software and hardware interfaces
- Basic technical/analytical skills in PC/Network Computing and Operating systems
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity/proficiency with applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WebEx, and CLM
- Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes and multi-meters
- Understanding of servicing practices, including ESD requirements
- Self-motivated worker with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the business/employees
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time when required and work independently.
