Job Description
As a Service Delivery Support Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, your role is crucial in ensuring the operational continuity of our clients' IT infrastructure and systems. Your responsibilities include:
- Being the first point of contact for clients, handling technical incidents and problems efficiently to meet service level agreement conditions.
- Proactively monitoring client infrastructure, identifying issues, and providing timely support through telephonic, ITSM ticket, or chat channels.
- Performing maintenance activities like patching and configuration changes to ensure smooth system operations.
- Working across multiple technology domains such as Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, or Collaboration.
- Updating and creating knowledge articles, optimizing work processes, and supporting project work when required.
- Contributing to disaster recovery functions and tests to safeguard client data.
- Ensuring seamless shift changes with thorough handovers for service continuity.
- Reporting and escalating incidents as needed for comprehensive resolutions.
- Prioritizing a positive client experience by understanding their needs and delivering efficient solutions.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Entry-level experience in troubleshooting and support within a medium to large ICT organization.
- Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and ITIL processes.
- Proficiency in using ITSM tools and handling tickets promptly based on defined SOPs.
- Ability to plan activities in advance, adapt to changing circumstances, and communicate effectively across different cultures.
- Proficiency in active listening techniques, maintaining a positive outlook in pressurized environments, and willingness to work hard when necessary.
- A bachelor's degree in IT or Computing (or equivalent work experience).
