Senior Technical Staff Member

As a highly experienced Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting complex, large-scale systems. Your role will involve understanding system architecture and design at an expert level, with a deep knowledge of Linux kernel and user space architecture. Your technical expertise in embedded systems and real-time systems will be crucial, along with your proficiency in C/C++ and systems programming. You will also need to apply your knowledge of software design patterns and architectural patterns to ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability. Your Architecture & Design Skills will be put to the test as you work on system architecture and component design, API design and interface specification, design documentation, and technical writing. You will also be involved in architecture evaluation, trade-off analysis, design pattern application, and best practices implementation. In terms of Domain Expertise, your background in Embedded Linux platform architecture, Linux kernel architecture and subsystems, user space application architecture, build system and toolchain architecture, hardware abstraction, BSP architecture, and system integration will be invaluable. Your Leadership & Communication skills will be essential in influencing and driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineers on architecture, translating business requirements into technical architecture, and collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus. Preferred Qualifications for this role include architecture certifications (TOGAF, etc.), extensive Yocto Project experience, experience with safety-critical systems (ISO 26262, DO-178C, etc.), knowledge of formal methods and verification, open-source architecture contributions, experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors, and published technical papers or architecture articles. Your performance will be measured based on key indicators such as architecture quality and effectiveness, system scalability and performance, technical debt reduction, architecture documentation completeness, team adoption of architectural standards, and customer satisfaction with system architecture.
