Senior System Engineer(SASE)

Role Overview: Versa Networks, Inc. is seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Senior System Engineer to play a crucial role in providing pre-sales technical support, establishing trusted relationships with customers and partners, and contributing to product evolution and enhancements. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting workshops, performing hands-on tests, responding to RFIs/RFPs, and staying updated on competitive solutions and market trends. Key Responsibilities: - Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to customers and partners to achieve sales targets. - Establish a trusted advisory role with strategic customers and partners, including CIOs and CISOs. - Enable and update partner network on product evolution. - Conduct workshops with prospects or customers for product evaluations and demonstrations. - Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and deployments. - Respond to RFIs/RFPs and provide market and product feedback to product management. - Stay informed on competitive solutions, products, and services. - Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer/partner facing content. Qualifications Required: - Experience in planning, designing, or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks. - Knowledge of Cloud security solutions including FWaaS, DLP, CASB, RBI, and Malware prevention. - Familiarity with security technologies such as proxies, SSL/TLS, VPNs, Active Directory/SAML/LDAP, threat prevention, and mitigation. - Understanding of networking and security architectures within the SASE framework. - Proficiency in TCP/IP protocol stack, WAN technologies, and protocols like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, Multicast. - Experience in architecting and managing large-scale, high-performing enterprise networking and security solutions. - Knowledge of Linux administration.
