Senior Software Quality Specialist

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Tester specializing in both manual and automation testing, your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality assurance of software during the development and deployment stages. You will take the lead in conducting manual and automated tests to verify that the software created by developers meets the required standards. Your responsibilities will also include understanding test architecture, design, debugging, troubleshooting, and applying various testing processes such as Agile, V-Model, and Waterfall. Additionally, you will be expected to develop and present QA defect and status reports, as well as utilize Bug Tracking in Jira. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the requirements and identify features for Functional & regression testing - Develop and maintain scalable, reusable test frameworks - Define QA strategy, architecture, and best practices - Implement Agile QA processes within SCRUM/Kanban teams - Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and release pipelines - Standardize testing practices across teams - Perform testing in QA, UAT, and PROD environments after each product release - Mentor QA engineers and drive continuous improvement - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders - Evaluate new tools and technologies through Proof of Concepts (POCs) Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum of 5+ years of total testing experience, encompassing both manual and automation testing - Proficiency in building reusable automation frameworks - Strong coding skills in languages like Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript - Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright (TypeScript), Rest Assured/Karate, Selenium (WebDriver), TestNG, and Cucumber - Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, and REST API - Solid understanding of test planning, strategy, and quality metrics - Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems - Proficient in SQL with good knowledge and experience - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines including Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps - Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, with preference given to Azure - Hands-on experience with project management tools like JIRA - Knowledge and experience in BDD, E2E, smoke, sanity, and performance testing using JMeter - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Nice to Have: - Experience in Agile processes - Experience in developing automation scripts using Playwright/TypeScript - Experience in creating pipelines or executing in Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines - Conducting application demos for internal and external stakeholders - Reviewing all testing artifacts prepared by the team and ensuring closure of tracked defects - Experience with any Non-functional testing tool like JMeter Role Overview: As a Senior Software Tester specializing in both manual and automation testing, your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality assurance of software during the development and deployment stages.
