Senior Software Engineer (Java Developer)

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer in the LSEG RISK Intelligence Technology group, you will be responsible for the development of technology platforms supporting key products such as Connected Risk, World Check, and products in the Risk Managed Services space. Your role will involve the analysis, design, construction, testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of information systems to meet business needs efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code based on user requirements. - Develop high-quality software using agile methodologies, while adhering to team/company standards. - Participate in planning sessions to analyze requirements, provide design options, and estimate work. - Focus on quality by conducting unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews to ensure software meets requirements. - Document, review, and maintain technical reference material for supportability and reuse. - Actively participate in team status meetings, providing timely updates on individual responsibilities within projects to the supervisor. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in AWS, Java language, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate with 3-6 years of experience. - Proficiency in implementing object-oriented programming and various design patterns. - Experience in Unit Testing, Test Driven Development, databases, SQL, and secure coding. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to write clean, readable code and reusable Java libraries. - Proficient in using source code management tools like Github. - Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle.
