Senior Software Engineer I - Full Stack/Front End - AI Interfaces

As a Senior Software Engineer I for the Aura Agentic Interfaces team, your main responsibilities will involve contributing to the development and maintenance of backend systems that power the web application, including search, content discovery, and AI capabilities. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to build reliable, scalable systems that add value to customers while enhancing your technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and services supporting search functionality in distributed systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. - Assist in implementing search and/or AI-related features to improve accuracy and efficiency. - Collaborate with engineers, AI partners, and product teams to integrate search and AI-driven capabilities across the Seismic platform. - Participate in monitoring and performance tuning efforts to ensure acceptable query latency. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to support seamless search experiences. - Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and best practices related to search, backend development, and AI systems. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend or UI-focused web applications. - Technical expertise in HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, TypeScript, and frontend testing practices. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and familiarity with containerized applications in Kubernetes. - Exposure to search/retrieval/AI concepts, SaaS applications, and modern distributed systems. - Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, including experience with Scrum and JIRA.
