Senior Software Development Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining Wagepoint as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, responsible for developing software features, ensuring product reliability, and optimizing infrastructure. Your role will involve leveraging AI tools to enhance team productivity and working closely with the Director of Engineering. Wagepoint is a small fintech company with a mission to simplify payroll for small businesses across North America. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end feature development, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical quality. - Implement systems to monitor application performance, proactively address potential issues, and meet SLAs. - Enforce clean code practices, maintain standards, and conduct regular code reviews. - Design scalable cloud infrastructure and automate deployment pipelines for stable releases. - Drive team efficiency by adopting new tools, sharing insights, and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of full-stack development experience with JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue.js) and server-side technologies (C#, .NET preferred). - 23 years of professional experience developing modern web applications using React.js, with strong understanding of hooks and state management. - Skilled in C# and .NET Core, designing and developing RESTful APIs, and working with SQL Server or other relational databases. - Familiarity with frontend testing tools like Jest and React Testing Library, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience in Agile/Scrum teams with strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Bonus Qualifications: - Familiarity with AI tools and automation for team productivity enhancement. - Knowledge of advanced cloud management practices or certifications in AWS or GCP.
