Senior Role - Risk & Data Analytics/Artificial Intelligence

Role Overview: As a Senior Risk and Data Analyst AI & Analytics at Samsara, you will play a crucial role in supporting Enterprise Risk Management by enhancing board-level risk reporting, strengthening global ERM program, and embedding dynamic risk intelligence across governance processes. You will also contribute to internal audit, SOX compliance, and operational review programs by leveraging data analytics to drive deeper risk insights, improve audit coverage, and enhance decision-making. This hybrid position requires working 2 days per week in the Bangalore office and 3 days remotely within the IST time zone. Key Responsibilities: - Build relationships with risk, compliance, and BizTech teams to identify key risks and control gap areas for Internal Audit's audit plan. - Design and deliver risk dashboards, heatmaps, and forward-looking analytics in partnership with ERM. - Assist in continuous risk monitoring and early-warning indicators implementation across financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risk domains. - Define and execute a data analytics strategy to enhance audit engagements, risk assessments, department metrics, and board reporting. - Lead data-driven internal audit projects from scope definition through reporting. - Support the development of enterprise risk management program by implementing data-enabled processes for risk identification, assessment, and monitoring. - Integrate analytics into SOX and operational audits to enhance control testing and root cause evaluation. - Apply advanced analytics and AI/ML tools to enhance anomaly detection, predictive risk insights, and efficiency in testing and monitoring. - Experiment with AI applications in governance reporting and risk dashboards. - Maintain and enhance internal data models, risk scoring frameworks, and dynamic dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI. - Uphold Samsara's cultural principles while advancing data and risk analytics capabilities. Qualifications Required: - 5-6 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, or governance functions with a focus on data and analytics. - Strong technical data skills, risk acumen, and a proactive mindset. - Practical experience with risk assessment, prioritization, and mitigation processes. - Familiarity with risk frameworks such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and NIST RMF. - Hands-on exposure to GRC platforms like Diligent, Archer, MetricStream, ServiceNow. - Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for executive-level decision-making. - Experience in data analysis tools such as Tableau, SQL, IDEA, Power BI, Python. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder communication. - Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple work efforts and adapt quickly to changing needs.
