Role Overview:
You will be part of a team that delivers high-quality software to customers. As a Senior QA Engineer-2, you will lead a small testing team while being the technical cornerstone for automation strategies. Your role will involve architecting automation frameworks, implementing AI-driven testing methodologies, and providing mentorship to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small team of QA engineers, driving best practices and acting as a bridge between technical execution and management stakeholders.
- Design, develop, scale, and maintain efficient automation test frameworks primarily focusing on Webdriver.io, Playwright, and Mocha.
- Spearhead the integration of AI coding agents (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf) to optimize test planning, generation, and code maintenance.
- Perform comprehensive API testing (RESTful) to ensure reliability, security, and performance across backend systems.
- Architect the integration of test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and manage cloud execution environments (BrowserStack, LambdaTest).
- Implement and maintain Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices and evaluate observability metrics for actionable insights.
- Define accessibility compliance strategy (WCAG) and execute performance/load testing using tools like K6, Locust, or JMeter.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product management to ensure comprehensive test coverage early in the SDLC.
- Oversee the defect lifecycle to ensure bugs are identified, documented, and tracked to resolution.
Qualifications Required:
- 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a focus on scalable test automation and framework architecture.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in testing initiatives and mentoring junior to mid-level engineers.
- Advanced proficiency in Python/JavaScript/Java and hands-on expertise in automation suites using Webdriver.io, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Practical experience with AI agents (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf) for code acceleration.
- Strong background in setting up automation suites within CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and knowledge of RESTful API concepts.
- Working knowledge of WCAG standards, accessibility testing tools, cloud platforms (AWS), and containerization (Docker).
- BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
