Job Description
As a Senior .NET Engineer at Phenomeny LLP, you will be responsible for working on a mission-critical, enterprise-grade courtroom monitoring and recording ecosystem deployed across multiple locations. Your role will involve maintaining legacy .NET Framework applications while contributing to architectural modernization toward web-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing C#/.NET Framework desktop applications.
- Work on real-time audio/video streaming integrations (VLC stack, RTSP/RTP).
- Develop and optimize Windows Services handling continuous recording workflows.
- Implement performance improvements for high-availability systems.
- Support hardware integration components (remote control modules, device interfaces).
- Contribute to modernization efforts (migration to .NET Core / Web-based architecture).
- Design and develop secure REST APIs for system integration.
- Build monitoring, logging, and reconciliation mechanisms.
- Provide L3-level production support for mission-critical systems.
- Ensure system uptime and operational stability.
Required Technical Skills:
Core Development:
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET Framework.
- Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+.
- Windows Services development.
- WPF / WinForms desktop applications.
- Multithreading and asynchronous programming.
- Performance tuning and memory optimization.
Media & Streaming:
- Experience integrating VLC or similar media libraries.
- Understanding of RTSP, RTP, and streaming protocols.
- Audio/video processing fundamentals.
- Experience with FFmpeg (preferred).
System Integration:
- TCP/IP and socket programming.
- Hardware/device integration exposure.
- Windows OS internals knowledge.
- Experience with system-level debugging.
Database:
- SQL Server.
- Stored procedures.
- Query optimization and indexing.
- Handling large-scale reporting data.
Web Modernization (Preferred):
- ASP.NET Core.
- RESTful API design.
- WebSocket implementation.
- Frontend frameworks (React / Angular plus).
Infrastructure & Security:
- IIS configuration.
- Application logging & monitoring tools.
- Role-based access control.
- Secure API design.
- Encryption (data in transit & at rest).
Experience Requirements:
- 610 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience working on enterprise-grade or mission-critical systems.
- Prior experience in surveillance, broadcasting, telecom, recording systems, or similar domains preferred.
