Role Overview:
Rockwell Automation is seeking a senior Simulation Engineer to join the new product development team. As a Simulation Engineer, you will utilize computational tools to enhance the understanding of the thermal behavior of products and systems. This role primarily involves providing thermal simulation for industrial electronics modules and systems to support current products, new product development, and research projects. The position offers a collaborative and innovative environment that requires a highly motivated individual passionate about product development. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is based in Bangalore with a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thermal analysis of natural convection, forced convection, and enhanced conduction to optimize design problems at various scales.
- Collaborate with design engineers to address technical challenges and devise simulation strategies to expedite design knowledge.
- Develop or utilize new computational techniques and deliver comprehensive technical reports.
- Collaborate with development and test engineers to design experiments and validate models.
- Contribute to fostering a simulation-first culture company-wide.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in simulation or a master's degree with a simulation focus.
- Proficiency in ANSYS/ICEPAK simulation tools.
- Strong foundation in engineering and analysis.
- Experience in thermal problem-solving and working with packaged electronics.
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging. Experience in conducting feasibility studies, testing new designs, and directing support personnel.
