Job Description
As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer at our client, a world-class leader in advanced manufacturing technologies, you will play a critical role in optimizing and refining production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness for cutting-edge product lines. Your responsibilities will include analyzing existing manufacturing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven improvements. Additionally, you will be developing and validating new process technologies, writing detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborating closely with design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Your expertise in manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process automation will be crucial in driving process improvements using simulation tools and data analysis techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes for improved efficiency, yield, and cost reduction
- Develop, implement, and validate new manufacturing technologies and equipment
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate process parameters and improvements
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and control plans
- Utilize data analysis tools and statistical methods (SPC) to monitor process performance and identify trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Operations) to ensure successful process implementation
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing issues
- Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and methodologies
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on new processes and techniques
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing process engineering
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical analysis
- Experience with process simulation software is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
- Experience in automation and robotics is advantageous
