Job Description
As a Sr Design Manager at Salesforce UX, you will play a critical role in shaping all AI experiences across platform teams and driving coherence and quality across a portfolio of AI-powered features. Your primary responsibility will be to create intuitive and delightful user experiences for the suite of products by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will conduct user research, translate insights into innovative design solutions, and ensure designs align with Salesforce's design principles and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate clear and compelling ideas to key stakeholders through documentation, reviews, and presentations
- Serve as a bridge connecting design, product, engineering, and marketing teams
- Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences
- Create designs adhering to and extending the existing style guide
- Generate detailed final design specs for accurate developer builds
- Work with developers and quality experts to deliver polished final products
- Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns
- Mentor new design staff
- Set the vision for a product's creative identity, articulate it clearly, and guide the team through implementation
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive designs for all users
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or related field
- 10+ years of experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio for web and/or mobile applications
- Minimum 2 years in a people managerial role managing high-impact UX designers
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and standard processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Experience using analytics and user research to drive decisions
- Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma
- Experience designing software for global reach and users of multiple languages and abilities
- Demonstrated behaviors that inspire employees and leaders
- Ability to create design systems and solutions for complex challenges
- Commitment to ethics, equality, and speaking up when necessary
