Job Description
As a Senior Manager in the Data Science and Analytics team based in India, your role will involve utilizing your expertise in SAS programming to support the mortgage and consumer lending businesses. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex SAS models and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights. Additionally, having a working knowledge of Python will be beneficial for broader analytics, process automation, and data engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain statistical and machine learning models using advanced SAS programming.
- Build and optimize SAS-based reports and data pipelines to facilitate business operations and decision-making.
- Streamline and automate existing modeling, reporting, and ETL processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Analyze model performance to identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
- Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Sales, and Finance to define analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Support customer segmentation, campaign analytics, and marketing file generation.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Masters or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with some exposure to marketing and/or mortgage analytics (preferred but not mandatory).
- Expert-level SAS programming skills, including proficiency in SAS macro language and modeling procedures.
- Strong SQL and Microsoft Office skills.
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, or exploratory analysis.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Ability to translate business objectives into analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the financial services or mortgage industry is advantageous.
