Job Description

Role Overview: As the Senior Manager, Accounting at BlackLine, you will lead the accounting operations of the India entity, ensuring accurate financials for US GAAP and local statutory purposes. You will be responsible for overseeing the team, analyzing financial data, preparing reports for upper management, and managing accounts payable and payroll functions. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to implement strategic process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and support company growth. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee accounting operations for the India-based subsidiary, including accounts payable, general ledger reporting, and statutory filings. - Recruit, train, and develop new team members. - Own the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. - Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP and manage the statutory audit process. - Manage the end-to-end India payroll function and local vendor payments. - Collaborate with tax provider and corporate tax team for local tax payments and returns. - Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives. - Mentor and provide guidance to finance team members in India. - Supervise personnel through training, development, and work assignments.
