Job Description
As a Senior Financial Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in owning the financial books, driving the close process, and collaborating closely with the CFO to establish financial discipline in a dynamic high-growth startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Accounting & Close (Core Ownership)**
- Take full ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes adhering to US GAAP standards
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules
- Ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of financial statements for audit readiness
- Manage revenue recognition, expense controls, and balance sheet integrity
- Collaborate with auditors and advisors for US audits and compliance
- Proactively identify and rectify gaps to enhance accounting quality continuously
- **FP&A & Business Support**
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and rolling projections
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide clear explanations of financial performance
- Generate insightful CFO-ready dashboards and management reports
- Assist in cash flow planning, runway analysis, and optimizing expenditures
- Serve as a finance partner to leadership during the business scaling process
- **Build & Scale**
- Contribute to designing and enhancing finance processes to support company growth
- Introduce structure, documentation, and discipline while ensuring operational efficiency
- Assist in implementing automation, tooling, and system enhancements
Qualifications Required:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
- CA + MBA (Finance) Strongly preferred
- 35 years of experience working with US GAAP for US-based companies
- Hands-on experience in book closing and core accounting practices
- Practical exposure to FP&A in either a startup or fast-growth setting
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, a proactive ownership mindset, and a bias for action
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and a fast-paced environment
