Role Overview:
You will be responsible for alarm analysis, operation-maintenance, troubleshooting, and change request implementation on IP nodes such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and security gateways. Additionally, you will handle trouble ticket analysis, resolution of trouble tickets raised by customers or L2 teams, and fault management on all routers and switches equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively supervise ITSM ticket queues to maintain MTTR.
- Utilize analytical skills for logical thinking, problem-solving, and handling assignments.
- Identify root causes of P2/P3/P4 incidents and recommend appropriate resolution actions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for support of any alarm/event/KPI related issues.
- Collaborate closely with the field team for all field activities.
- Ensure timely restoration of services to maintain high service availability.
- Proactively detect possible failures to ensure incident restoration/avoidance.
- Perform node health checks, backups, and troubleshoot identified deviations.
- Share details for MIR & CSR to respective teams.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise across various network technologies and vendors.
- Have hands-on experience in network monitoring, fault management, and performance tools.
- Exhibit excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
- Be able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and lead during crisis situations.
Qualifications Required:
- Good knowledge in IP networking protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, Segment Routing.
- Understanding of switching VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, HSRP.
- Telecom knowledge including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G service flow & interfaces.
- Product/vendor knowledge on CISCO (mandatory) & Ericsson.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in the IP domain.
- End-to-end understanding of broadband and enterprise business processes, service flows, and cross-domain roles & responsibilities.
