Job Description
As a Credit Analyst in this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting credit-worthiness analysis of existing borrowers of the Bank, which involves financial analysis, industry and sector research to ensure the quality of the Banks lending.
- Drafting detailed credit reports with key takeaways on the purpose of the credit.
- Developing and maintaining detailed financial models in Excel, including financial statement analysis, projections, ratio & variance analysis, credit metrics, etc.
- Regularly interacting with key stakeholders to discuss borrower requirements, performance, data gaps, inconsistencies, analytical frameworks, loan servicing, etc.
- Please note that this role does not involve credit underwriting of new borrowers for fresh lending.
Desired skills for this role include:
- Strong financial analysis skills with a thorough understanding of accounting/financial concepts, including financial statements analysis, variance analysis, etc.
- Candidates from Top B-Schools are preferred.
- Ability to draft clear and concise reports, along with strong communication skills (both oral and written) in English.
- Proficiency in using Excel, handling linked worksheets, and ability to work with complex models.
- Personal attributes such as proactive nature, flexibility, creativity, result-driven mindset, responsibility, ability to work in a team, quick learner, and willingness to take ownership.
- Capability to understand the big picture and succeed in a fast-paced work environment where change and speed are integral parts.
- Preference for candidates from Top colleges.
