Senior Accountant II

As a Project Accountant at Lummus Technology, you will play a crucial role in managing accounting activities for aftermarket services projects and other assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing accounting for aftermarket service projects and other selected projects in petrochemicals, green circle, and Lummus Digital. - Collaborating with project managers to ensure the smooth execution of projects and maintaining financial information in compliance with contract terms. - Preparing billings, conducting various account reconciliations for approximately 65 active projects, and reviewing contracts to understand financial requirements. - Recording project journal entries, opening new projects, loading project budgets, providing cost analysis to Project Managers, and closing projects upon completion. - Performing project account analysis for multiple business units, ensuring timely loading to the online document management system, and reviewing for balance management. - Analyzing Gross Profit Forecast, Gross Profit to go, and Flash Gross Profit, and reviewing contract capital reports to understand project investment balances. - Reconciling financial systems reports with project sub-ledgers and preparing reports using JDE financial information. - Collaborating with project controllers to prepare detailed cash reports listing all receipts and disbursements monthly. During the monthly closing process, your responsibilities will include: - Preparing projects for monthly closing, booking intercompany accruals, identifying and booking project accruals, and preparing Foreign Exchange changes and bank transactions journal entries. - Transferring costs from proposals to project expenses when required and providing detailed analysis of intercompany out of balances by project.
