Semiconductor Technology File Automation Engineer

As an ASIC TechFile Development Lead at our company, your role will involve driving the specification, automation, and validation of ASIC technology files. You will collaborate with Technology Development (TD) and Custom PDK teams to define and refine ASIC TechFile specifications using JSON. Your responsibilities will include working with TD to define TechFile specifications, collaborating with Custom PDK team members, writing, generating, and enhancing ASIC TechFiles, implementing automation frameworks, developing robust scripts in JSON, Ruby, and Python, troubleshooting TechFile-related issues, documenting methodologies and best practices, and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Define and refine ASIC TechFile specifications using JSON in collaboration with TD. - Align TechFile deliverables with process technology requirements with Custom PDK team members. - Write, generate, and enhance ASIC TechFiles from scratch across multiple technology nodes. - Implement automation frameworks for standard TechFile generation. - Develop scripts in JSON, Ruby, and Python for automating TechFile creation, validation, and updates. - Drive TechFile development and validation processes ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance. - Troubleshoot and resolve TechFile-related issues across design flows and EDA tools. - Document methodologies, automation frameworks, and best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on TechFile automation and validation. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in ASIC design enablement, CAD, or technology file development. - Ability to define TechFile specifications using JSON and build TechFiles from scratch. - Expertise in automation frameworks for TechFile generation. - Proficiency in Ruby and Python scripting, with hands-on experience in JSON-based automation. - Understanding of semiconductor process technologies and design enablement. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive technical initiatives. If you are experienced in working directly with foundries on technology enablement, familiar with nodes up to 28nm, knowledgeable about EDA tool internals (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor), or have prior experience leading CAD/flow development teams, those would be considered as preferred qualifications.
