Job Description
As a Software Developer at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, developing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programming to meet business requirements. You will have the opportunity to influence teams with design strategies, tool adoption, and best practices for Java development and Agile methodologies. Your role will involve driving the overall OPT Development strategy to streamline SDLC activities and collaborating with CCB OPT developers, managers, and business partners to ensure testing schedules and deliverables are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, develop, and document programming to fulfill business requirements
- Influence teams with design strategies, tool adoption, and Agile best practices
- Drive OPT Development strategy to accelerate SDLC activities
- Collaborate with developers, managers, and business partners to enforce testing schedules and deliverables
- Research new technologies, adapt quickly, and provide technical guidance to team members
- Implement DevOps model for continuous integration, testing, and delivery
- Work with globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across regions
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience with strong design, coding, testing, and debugging skills
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in Application Development, Quality, and Automation teams
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE for designing and developing distributed systems
- Experience with UI technologies such as AngularJS, ReactJS
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably Cloud Foundry
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented analysis and design, TDD/BDD, Design patterns, Database and Javascript frameworks, Web Services Development, SOA/Microservices
- Hands-on experience with development and build tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, Git, JMeter, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Proficiency in Unix/AIX, WebSphere, DB2/Oracle
- Good understanding of issue tracking systems, preferably Jira
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders to design application roadmaps
