Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting property valuation, collateral assessment, and appraisal review functions within the mortgage lifecycle. Your role will involve reviewing and analyzing residential property appraisals, performing valuation quality checks, validating property data, ensuring compliance with US mortgage guidelines, identifying discrepancies in appraisal reports, coordinating with AMC/Appraisers, working on Collateral Underwriting, maintaining TAT and SLA adherence, and preparing valuation summaries and risk commentary for underwriting teams. Key Responsibilities: - Review and analyze residential property appraisals (1004, 1073, 2055, etc.) - Perform valuation quality checks and risk assessment of appraisal reports - Validate property data including comparables, market trends, and adjustments - Ensure compliance with US mortgage guidelines (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac standards) - Identify discrepancies, red flags, and inconsistencies in appraisal reports - Coordinate with AMC/Appraisers to resolve valuation-related queries - Work on Collateral Underwriting and appraisal reconsideration requests - Maintain TAT and SLA adherence - Prepare valuation summaries and risk commentary for underwriting teams Qualifications Required: - 25 years of experience in US Mortgage Valuations / Appraisal Review - Strong understanding of residential appraisal forms (1004, 1073, 1025), comparable analysis and adjustments, market trend analysis, USPAP guidelines, and exposure to GSE guidelines (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac) - Experience working with valuation tools / LOS platforms - Good analytical and decision-making skills - Strong communication skills (written & verbal) Company Additional Details (if present): The company prefers candidates with exposure to FHA/VA valuation guidelines, prior experience in US mortgage underwriting support, and experience working in a captive/BPO setting.
