Role Overview:
You will be joining a reputable and expanding financial services firm in a completely remote position based in India. As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your key tasks will include preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger functions, reconciling accounts, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes. You will also play a crucial role in developing and implementing internal controls, improving accounting processes, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Collaboration with internal stakeholders across departments will be essential to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Proven experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
