Registered Nurse, ICU

Role Overview: You will be a Registered Nurse in the 38-bed multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Boston Medical Center-Brighton, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Supported by a collaborative nursing team, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care to patients in a supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients - Communicate effectively with health care team members, patients, and their families - Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues - Update and manage patient records - Enter and interpret computerized data/information - Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department - Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects as needed Qualifications Required: - Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a med/surg setting - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years - ICU experience preferred - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Physical ability to meet job responsibilities - Basic computer proficiency Additional Company Details: Boston Medical Center-Brighton is committed to providing a supportive work environment with opportunities for training, professional development, and growth.
