Quality Assurance Engineer Specialist

As a Specialist II Quality Assurance Engineer at EY, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced systems quality assurance testing services. You will be responsible for implementing new techniques and tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of software development. Your role will involve reviewing requirements, conducting advanced testing, analyzing results, and participating in design reviews to ensure functionality, performance, and early issue resolution. Your key responsibilities will include: - Maintaining and implementing test automation strategy, test design, and creation, as well as coding reviews to ensure quality. - Participating in the development, implementation, control, and distribution of quality assurance practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics. - Analyzing input and output of test data, identifying discrepancies between requirements and expected results, documenting exceptions, and making recommendations for improvement. - Evaluating, developing, and maintaining quality assurance testing standards, recognizing areas where policies and procedures need to be changed or developed. - Collaborating across IT teams to develop and execute manual End-to-End test cases and exploratory tests following test case standards. - Training and mentoring less experienced staff, resolving elevated issues, and researching and recommending new technologies and trends. - Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned. - Reviewing software requirements to create detailed and comprehensive test scenarios aligning with product specifications and user needs. - Conducting regression testing, stress testing, and other advanced testing methods to ensure product stability and performance under different conditions. - Analyzing test results to assess database impacts, identify bugs, errors, and usability concerns, ensuring software functions efficiently across platforms. - Participating in design reviews, providing insights on product requirements, design considerations, and potential problems to help mitigate issues early in the development process. To qualify for this role, you must have: - Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira). - A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering or a Master's degree/Diploma in Computer Science. - Understanding of Java, Angular, Node JS, Automation skills, Postman, Cucumber, Cypress, AWS, SQL queries, TDD/BDD, Knowledge of Github, Bitbucket, Bamboo CI/CD, Splunk, Honeycomb, Scripting language (e.g., Python). - Must have Agile, Confluence, JIRA Monitoring, and refining dashboards, and must comply with Continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows. - Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). - AWS cloud practitioner certification is preferred. - Proficiency in using JIRA, HP ALM, or TestRail for bug tracking and working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD integration. Ideally, you'll also have: - Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Highly flexible, adaptable, and creative. - Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client).
