Job Description

As the first point of contact for Customer Centers/ Customers for RFQ/New project requests, your role involves analyzing requirements of customers and applications, and translating them into a well-thought and designed OFA StandardPlus proposal, including costings. You should be able to independently evaluate customer/end user RFQ requirements and specifications, and translate customer needs to our product portfolio. Additionally, estimating the feasibility of a project in all its aspects and internally agreeing with relevant departments is crucial. Providing technically correct & commercially valid quotations by adhering to company processes is a key responsibility. Your job will also require you to understand Compressed Air system applications and provide Pre-Calculation, Selection, and sizing of equipment accurately. Collaborating with the Sales/Customer Centre team for the selection of AC make equipment and proposing system design for Compressed Air system applications is essential. You should be capable of providing the exact delivery lead time estimate to the customer of the required machine by coordinating with the factory and supplier. Moreover, preparing a technical sheet that is self-explanatory of the project and leading, organizing, and coordinating the assigned proposal work during different proposal phases are part of your responsibilities. Managing multiple proposal requests from different Customers and Sales, balancing and managing cost pressure from customer requests and internal execution for tough competition cases and complex projects, preparing bought-out item RFQs, evaluating sub-vendor offers, and recommending appropriate vendors are also tasks you will be handling. It is important to maintain a detailed overview of current quotations, closely monitor status, maintain project proposal files, and applicable records in common server & Project Management System software. For this role, you will need to meet the following Experience & Knowledge requirements: - University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical/Electrical or Instrumentation) - 3 to 7 years of experience in Proposal engineering preferably in Rotating Machinery Background - Sound knowledge of centrifugal compressors - Able to read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architect, etc. - Sound Knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings, Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents - Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS office - Knowledge of pressure vessels and heat exchangers In terms of personality requirements, you should be pro-active, a positive team player with good interpersonal skills, strong in communication and people-oriented, with a drive for results, and able to establish relations and networks with people inside and outside the organization. Additionally, being analytical with problem-solving skills, able to work on multiple projects effectively, and organized with a sense of urgency are important qualities for this role.
