Project Manager (Substation)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead endtoend project management for 765/400 kV or 400/220 kV GIS Substation projects.
• Review project designs, technical specifications, drawings, and execution plans.
• Manage and coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, consultants, and client teams.
• Monitor progress, ensure timely execution, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout execution.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of GIS substation equipment.
• Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and resolve onsite challenges.
• Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, and reporting to management/client.
• Ensure all documentation, approvals, and statutory clearances are completed on time.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and maintain strong stakeholder communication.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 10-20 years of experience in project management and execution of highvoltage substations.
• Proven experience in 765/400 kV GIS Substation or 400/220 kV GIS Substation projects is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, protection schemes, substation equipment, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IS, relevant utility norms).
• Strong leadership, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
