Process & Maintenance Engineer

As a Process Engineer at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune, your primary responsibility will be to support unit performance and availability for gas processing facility. You will collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot issues, provide technical recommendations for operating procedures, and address basic process control issues. Monitoring the health of the plant to ensure normal operations, you will also deliver operational technical support for process improvements, modifications, turnaround activities, performance tests, and troubleshooting exercises. Your role may sometimes require working shift/evening/weekend schedules. Additionally, you will play a key role in special assignments such as trials, small project oversight, and unit modeling. Collaborating closely with the Site Engineer and other engineering subject areas, you will provide process engineering recommendations for various activities like MoCs, projects and modifications, risk assessments, and maintenance/inspection deferrals. Furthermore, you will identify facility improvement options to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly operations. It will be your responsibility to mentor less experienced engineers, grow expertly, and explore opportunities for long-term career planning. You will also network with technical representatives, commercial teams, projects organizations, and technology networks to share information on initiatives, programs, and projects. In terms of qualifications, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering or a related field. You should have a minimum of 8 years of oil and gas experience in technical, engineering, or operations roles, with significant experience in gas processing systems. Proficiency in English, a good understanding of process engineering principles, and knowledge of industry codes and standards are essential. Experience in offshore operations, LNG terminal operations, process modeling, health monitoring applications, and risk management will be advantageous. You will be part of the regional Engineering Team supporting offshore operations with a shift schedule from 11:30 to 20:30 IST.
