Principal Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview: As a thought leader in the focus area, you will be the go-to person for internal teams at Collins Aerospace. Your primary responsibility will involve leading strategic BI projects in the environment, with a special focus on Data Warehousing Cloud Technologies such as Snowflake and Data Bricks, as well as SAP applications including BW on HANA, SAP SLT, SAP DataServices, and Native HANA. You will play a crucial role in operationalizing analytics, mapping requirements to implementation, selecting technology, and evaluating non-functional attributes. Your goal will be to ensure that solutions not only meet current requirements but can also evolve to support future needs without costly rework and disruptions. Additionally, you will handle complex aspects of information management and analytics, encompassing user experience, performance, security, governance, platform, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Bring business intelligence and analytics leadership to functional business leaders and internal data consumers - Work closely with various stakeholders, including executive leadership, to articulate complex solution designs and domain technology road maps - Maintain expertise and information related to system architecture by participating in internal forums and events - Utilize advanced business acumen to understand business objectives and proactively drive solutions to business problems using systems solutions and data - Validate BI solutions, including new development, configuration, and data testing before releasing them to functional IT or business users for testing - Possess good working knowledge of Snowflake and Data Bricks - Plan for SAP (Native) HANA or SAP BW implementations, including sizing, scoping, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy - Demonstrate systems thinking by understanding how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking) - Build, mentor, and support a team to advance and support the organization long term - Own the data integration approach between source systems and reporting solutions - Design and maintain reporting and analytic solutions from the data warehouse, providing subject matter expertise - Design the Data Lake storage layer (Landing/staging, raw, trusted/curated zones) - Have knowledge of programming languages like SAS, R, Unix, SQL, Python, Parallel Computing - Experience with one of the visualization tools such as Tableau, Lumira, Power BI, etc. - Knowledge of advanced machine-learning methodologies (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, TensorFlow, Keras) and augmented analytics - Familiarity with NLP and making decisions about on-premise cloud-based hosting and development environments - Implement solutions related to IoT, Smart factory, etc. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the following skills: - Business intelligence and analytics leadership - Snowflake and Data Bricks - SAP (Native) HANA or SAP BW implementations - Programming languages like SAS, R, Unix, SQL, Python, Parallel Computing - Visualization tools such as Tableau, Lumira, Power BI - Advanced machine-learning methodologies and augmented analytics - NLP and IoT solutions (Note: Additional details of the company have been omitted as they were not included in the provided job description) Role Overview: As a thought leader in the focus area, you will be the go-to person for internal teams at Collins Aerospace.
