Job Description
As a member of the FAAS team at our small and fast-growing company, you will have excellent exposure to the firm's key clients, providing you with significant growth opportunities. Working in the FAAS team presents a unique challenge compared to the Audit or Assurance practice or an industry role. Your relevant experience to date will be valuable as all assignments are project-based, focusing on problem-solving rather than problem identification. You will frequently collaborate with EY professionals from different teams, such as Transaction Support, Advisory, Valuations, or Tax, in a multi-disciplinary environment. At the manager level and above, you will have the responsibility of managing an account portfolio and identifying further opportunities to support our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing solutions
- Manage accounts based on your level
- Collaborate with other EY service lines on multi-disciplinary projects
- Utilize strong IGAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP financial reporting experience in complex/large companies, preferably in a Big 4 audit/advisory/transaction vertical or MNC finance/M&A environment
- Simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues
- Demonstrate specific financial reporting experience in areas such as transactions, complex consolidation structures in an MNC environment, tax planning, and delivering technical training
- Handle specific financial reporting topics including revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, and banking
- Utilize strong project management skills effectively
Qualifications Required:
- CA qualified or equivalent (e.g., CPA, ICAEW, ACCA)
- Good academic record with 1st/2nd time passes for ICAI or equivalent
- Possess strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative
- Collaborate effectively in a team to provide services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements
The company is committed to inclusivity and willing to consider flexible working arrangements. While travel may be required for client-facing professionals, flexible working options are available to help achieve a work-life balance. As a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, we strive to create a better working world by offering training, opportunities, and creative freedom to all employees. Your experience at EY will be exceptional, lasting a lifetime. If you meet the criteria mentioned above, we encourage you to contact us promptly.
