Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will be required to hold an up registered pharmacist license. Your role as the Pharmacy Incharge will involve managing all operations of the pharmacy unit. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining inventory levels, supervising staff, and ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. Key Responsibilities: - Pharmacy Operations Management: - Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the pharmacy. - Ensure smooth dispensing of prescribed medications to inpatients and outpatients. - Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling of all pharmaceutical products. - Inventory & Procurement: - Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory. - Coordinate with vendors and procurement department for timely supply of medicines. - Conduct regular stock audits and checks to prevent pilferage or expiry. - Compliance & Documentation: - Ensure pharmacy complies with all drug regulations and licensing requirements. - Maintain accurate records for drugs received, dispensed, and returned. - Prepare reports on stock movement, sales, and expiry. - Team Management: - Supervise and train pharmacists and pharmacy assistants. - Prepare duty rosters and manage staff schedules. - Address team performance issues and foster a positive work environment. - Patient Safety & Customer Service: - Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medicines. - Provide guidance to patients and caregivers on medication usage, dosage, and side effects. - Address patient complaints and ensure quality service delivery. - Coordination with Healthcare Staff: - Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff regarding drug availability and patient medication. - Participate in clinical and administrative meetings when necessary.
