Job Description
As a Penetration Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for understanding complex computer systems and technical cybersecurity environments to conduct penetration testing. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working on projects to identify security vulnerabilities in clients infrastructure, web and mobile apps by applying an adversary mindset to simulate sophisticated actors
- Documenting and effectively communicating findings and vulnerabilities to technical and executive management levels
- Assisting in the development of offensive capabilities and internal tools for penetration tests
- Conducting research and developing tools or scripts to identify new vulnerabilities
- Understanding and presenting recommendations to mitigate risks in complex scenarios where vulnerabilities cannot be remediated
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Penetration Testing and/or Red Teaming
- Experience in penetration testing of web applications, infrastructure, mobile applications, and vulnerability assessments
- Expertise in using Kali Linux, Burp, Metasploit, and other security tools
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines with quality deliverables
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas and scenarios internally and with clients
- Commitment to teamwork, building strong relationships, maintaining professionalism, and upholding high ethical standards
- Willingness to research new security testing techniques and develop automation for efficiency
- Preferred professional qualifications such as OSCP, eJPT, CEH, etc.
- Programming experience in Python, .NET, or other interpreted or compiled languages
