Job Description
As a payroll person at NIQ, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments to employees. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional service to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration (e.g., provident fund, ESIC, insurance, etc.).
- Preparing payroll reports, such as income tax returns and statutory reports.
- Conducting regular payroll audits to ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves, and personal information.
- Collaborating with HR and finance departments to integrate payroll and employee data seamlessly.
- Processing new hires, terminations, promotions, and other status changes accurately in the payroll system.
- Administering and maintaining payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and implementing system upgrades.
- Monitoring and resolving payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Generating payroll reports for tax filings, benefits deductions, and regulatory compliance.
- Addressing employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll with exceptional customer service.
- Maintaining confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Workday and SAP.
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of experience in payroll processing.
