Job Description
As a Patient Care Assistant at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and physicians. Your responsibilities will include assisting in daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring and recording vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and physicians
- Assist in daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support patient mobility and assist with physical therapy when required
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in patient care areas
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide guidance and reassurance
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards of care
Qualifications Required:
- Relevant certification or degree in healthcare or nursing
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
