Oracle Exadata DBA

As an experienced database architect with 5-15 years of experience, your role will involve designing, implementing, and managing Exadata Cloud Service ExaCS database solutions. You will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining database architecture strategies to align with the business goals. Your responsibilities will include leading migration and integration of databases across various multicloud environments like Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems. Your expertise will be utilized in collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement database solutions that effectively meet business requirements. You should have hands-on experience in migrating large databases to Exadata, ExaCS, and ExaCC platforms, as well as to ATP and ADW. Your role will also involve designing database consolidation strategies to reduce operational expenses. In this position, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators. Conducting performance tuning, capacity planning, and security assessments will be part of your routine tasks. It is essential for you to stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings to ensure optimal system performance. Your responsibilities will extend to implementing and managing Exadata X9 hardware, including optimizing performance using persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to reduce latency. Additionally, deploying and managing Exadata X1110M98 hardware with scale-out high-performance database servers and intelligent storage servers will be within your scope of work. Your extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience should cover various areas such as RAC, RAT testing, ASM, Exadata performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), and DG Broker. Experience in database security aspects like TDE, Audit Vault, and OKV, as well as in OS administration including Linux, Solaris, virtualization, storage (ZFS), and ZDLRA will be valuable in this role. Overall, your role as a database architect will be critical in designing, implementing, and managing complex database solutions to ensure the efficiency and security of the organization's data infrastructure.
